How it works:

  1. Read the rules.
  2. Sign up.
  3. You list your meeting in your program's meeting directory. You give out the meeting info link to alano.online. This protects access to the meeting password, which we automatically change weekly to prevent Zoom bombing. (Example: meeting info link.)
  4. We confirm your 12 step group details through the world service office, intergroup, or district office of your program. It must be listed within two weeks of signup.
  5. If you no longer participate in that meeting, you must appoint a new group contact who will log in and take over administration.
  6. The meeting will be automatically started one minute before the start time.
  7. You log into our password-protected website to get the current host key, so you can claim host permission in the meeting. You can assign co-hosts to other volunteers to help manage the meeting.
  8. Please mention the virtual clubhouse as your meeting host in your announcements, and post the link for donations in chat. Think of being in an physical Alano Club that has a donation jar on the coffee counter for the facility itself. Meetings in Alano Clubs typically suggest donations to the host facility.

Secondary aids to A.A., such as clubs or hospitals which require much property or administration, ought to be incorporated and so set apart that, if necessary, they can be freely discarded by the groups…. Their management should be the sole responsibility of those people who financially support them.
