Confirmation e-mail

• You will receive an e-mail from alanodotonline@alano.online to confirm your address.
• Check your spam/junk folder if you don't get it in a few minutes.
• Click the link in the e-mail to confirm your registration.

After e-mail confirmation

• We will set up your Zoom meeting.
• We will contact you by e-mail and telephone or SMS to let you know you can log in.
• Check your spam/junk folder if you don't get the message and please report "not spam". Filter alanodotonline@alano.online and alano.online@outlook.com so they don't go to spam.
• If you don't hear from us within 2 business days, please e-mail alano.online@outlook.com.

Password-protected info

• Log into the Alano.ONLINE password-protected area for organizers. You will find your meeting info and a link to the public info on our calendar page.
• Always list our meeting info link in your program directory. Don't give people the password or list the password in your directory. The password will automatically change every week.

MEETING ATTENDEES MUST GET THE PASSWORD FROM THE PUBLIC ALANO.ONLINE MEETING INFO PAGE.

PASSWORDS WILL CHANGE EVERY WEEK TO PREVENT ZOOM BOMBING.

Meeting confirmation

• Your meeting must be listed in your program directory within 2 weeks.
• If your meeting can't be verified in the program directory, it will be deactivated.
• Please include our donation link in your meeting chat with a suggestion to donate:
  https://alano.online/donate.html

At meeting time

• In the password-protected area of our website, you will find the link to your meeting and the host key code.
• The meeting will automatically start 1 minute before your start time.
• Under "Participants," click "claim host" and enter the host key.

It's not spam

If you find our messages in your spam/junk folder, please click the button in your e-mail system to tell it they are not spam or junk. Our domain is new and hosted in a block with other businesses. Clicking "not spam" or "not junk" will help build the domain reputation so we can carry the message and serve the greatest number. We'll only send you account info. Thank you.

Donation info and rules

Donations are tax-deductible if you pay taxes in the U.S. or a country with an applicable tax treaty. If not, it's still okay to donate (usually) but you won't be able to claim a tax deduction.

We ask that you be involved in any 12-step program of recovery to donate. Pretty much everyone qualifies for at least one! Try attending a free program meeting. See the resources page for some examples.

Please do not use credit when donating to our cause. Unsecured debt is a form of compulsive self-harm. Please only use debit, and only if you have money to donate after taking care of yourself and your dependents.

We cannot accept donations or membership from sanctioned people, organizations, or countries listed by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Mission

Our mission is to carry the message of recovery to others around the world, by lowering costs for non-governmental, non-professional, self-managed, online meetings that use Zoom. Increasing the availability of recovery groups will lower the cost of public healthcare for alcoholism rehabilitation, as proven by scientific study.
